I agree with you on the pot. I was trying to keep your original square crop. I would have probably done a portrait crop to eliminate the pot. Or you could also try the Photoshop Generative AI tools. |

I'll have to make that an adventure of mine in the upcoming months especially since we are in the winter season. |

Thanks Pete for the feedback. Both you and Adrian have given me some ideas on adding more drama to the image. I'll have play around and see what I can do. |

Adrian, I do like your variation. I had the out of focus foreground to give depth to the image. Your variation gives some additional ideas. Thanks |

Michael, Thank you for your feedback. I went through a number of different crops to see which one I liked best. One of the crops was similar yours. In the end, I wanted to see the snow more to give better idea of the environment. I thought in my final crop, the diagonal branch framed in the subject. Was a tough decision on crop. |

Adrian,
I like how you captured this image and converted it into a monochrome image. I agree with the rest of the groups, I like how you made use of the shadows to create leading lines to women. Even the stairs add to the lines leading to the women. I like the square crop you used. The one suggestion I would have is to give the top of the women and the bottom of the shadow a little more room. See my version of your crop to give you an idea of what I am suggesting. |

Michael,
The near blacks mixed with the white elements in the image really simplifies the image. I also like how you placed the window off to one side to add interest. Thanks for sharing. |

Mark,
I really like your image. The fact that you saw this in a tree and made a face out of it is very creative. I am going to have to see what I can find on my next walk in the woods. Thanks for sharing. |

Adrian,
I like the crop you have and how you have the window highlighting the gentleman. The one thing I would try is making the saw he is working more visible. I think that would give the viewer a better idea of what is focused on. It is hard to tell in your monochrome image what he is doing. |

Mandy, I really like you capture the action in this image. The conversion to black and white if very effective in that it highlights the driver, machine and the water spray. The one suggestion I would have is to extend the image to the left and get more of the water spray in the image. I think this would add to the action in the image.

Pete, I like the image you capture and how you cropped the image. The pupil of the eye is one of the areas that I could see challenging in this image. Without a lot of the pupil showing makes it difficult to highlight the eye. I do like how you add highlights to the eye to keep it from getting lost in the eyelashes. Very nice work.

Lance, Thanks for your feedback on the cropping of the image. I definitely appreciate your thoughts on the wider (original) crop of the image. |
