Mandy, I like your composition in this image and how you have captured the lady walking, the motorcycle and the trolley in the same image. Really nicely done. In looking at the color image, I noticed a number of subtle tones in image. I would approach this image with less contrast than you used. I played with the image. See what you think. |

Thanks Mandy. I kind of chuckled when I included the original image which is usually a color positive image. |

Thanks Michael. Going through this process really makes me appreciate the modern digital approach. There are a number of variables that can be adjusted during the process but requires a lot of trial and error. I simply can't undo the process and rework. Need to go all the back to take a new image. |

Thanks Emil. It was fun to take a number of images and not know how they turned out until I went through the development process. |

Emil, I have been watching videos on YouTube from Jamie R Mathlin who goes takes a daytime image and converts it a nighttime image. I like the image and how you took the light post to create a nighttime image. I would have created a larger circle of light at the base of the lamp post to create a cone of light. You got me interested in trying this technique. Thanks for sharing. |

Michael, as Mandy mentioned the lines from the various cranes guide the eyes to the workers. This proves that the best camera is the one with you. I am not sure I would add more drama to the sky as it might distract from the lines in the image. |

Mark. Very nice image. The combination of the mist of the pond, the ducks and the monochrome of the image really make this powerful image. I ag
I am familiar with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My son goes the University of Akron so I get a chance to stop by the park on a somewhat regular basis. The limestone quarry and the locks make for interesting images. |

Pete,
Very nice image you captured during your trip. I really like how the castle stands out on the night sky. Looking closely at the castle, the right side seems to be leaning back compared to the rest of the structure. This might be caused by the distortion introduced by the 35mm lens. Other than that, I do like how you processed the image.
