Adrian,
The shutter speed you chose works nicely with this image. I like you have the body of the bird sharp but yet have movement in the wings. To me, this conveys movement in the image and not a "frozen" bird. Nicely done. |

Mandy,
You really did a nice job of catching a moment in the event. The shutter speed you used was perfect in that captured the water droplets and froze them. Adrian crop is a good suggestion. I would have moved the subjects to the right slightly. |

Mark,
As the others have said, very nice image. The lines leading the lighthouse, the clouds, and the light rays all add to very nice composition. |

Emil,
Very nice image of a sunflower. I do like how you used a different perspective of the sunflower compared to a lot of sunflower images I see. Most have images are straight on to the flower. The side profile gives a different and interesting view. My wife used to grow sunflowers, and I always enjoyed using them in my images. I may have to dig up my images. Unfortunately, when she tries to grow sunflowers now, the deer eat them :-( Taking a similar view as Pete, I brighten up the petals just a bit to add more contrast to the image. |

Michael,
I definitely would look at Nik 7. I have been using Nik since about version 2 or 3 and there have been a constant change over the various versions especially after DXO acquired Nik Collection. As an example, there are more ways to identify where to apply changes. Originally, you could only use control points and now you can define boxes, gradient masks or luminosity masks. Download a trial version and give it a try.

Pete,
I really like this image. Like the others I don't much in the way of improvements. On a side note, I happened to watch a photographer on YouTube use a smoke machine to create a similar effect. It took a large number of tries to get the smoke just right. I can only imagine how long it took you get the smoke just right. Might be a winter project for me to give this a try. |

Welcome to the team Michael. I do like you first submission. The one item that caught my attention was the triangle that was created by the two structures and the moon. To me that really ties the elements of image together. In Pete's image, I do like how he made the moon a little brighter. This helps give a little more attention to the moon. |
