Israel,
I do like the moment you captured in this image. I am not familiar with the area, and I do like the framing of the doorway. It does give the viewer some context that you are arriving in a particular area. Without the frame, it would place the viewer in middle of the scene. When I first looked at the image, my eye drawn to tree. I like Pete's idea of a radial gradient to help focus the viewer's attention to the cross. |

Mandy,
I like this image and the moment you captured between the seller and the buyer. I do like Adrian's suggestion because it does help focus the attention on the interaction of the two individuals rather than caught in looking at the background. |

Adrian,
I like the photo and the feeling you capture in this photo. I am not sure I would crop off the bottom. I do like the symmetry between the person and the reflection of the water. Instead of cropping out the hands, adding both of them in would more purposefully crop and would create sense of motion. I modified your original image to give you an idea of what I was thinking. |

Emil,
Palouse is one area I would like to visit. I have seen a lot of great images from that area. I think you image does a great job of capturing the rolling hills, and the variations in colors and lines. As Nick mentioned, my attention is drawn to the sky too much. In addition to making the sky less uniform, you may want to look at a different crop and remove more sky. Below is my thought of a different crop. |

Thanks your feedback Pete. I updated the image using your idea of lightening the path. I end somewhere between my dark path and your light path. See what you think. |
