I definitely shot this in my small studio. I think it would be nearly impossible to get the reflections in the water droplets outside but you can try! I put a tiny tendril of the dandelion in an alligator clip and I had a Gerber daisy in a different holder behind it. The light is directed mainly at the Gerber daisy to get the reflection. I struggled a lot with trying to get reflections when I first started. How you direct the light is important. Now I struggle with getting droplets to adhere to what I want them to. Dandelions work well but I have struggled with other plants that I would like to do a similar type photo but some of them the droplets literally roll off. I think I could have placed the dandelion better int he center. There is so much to think about when doing this type of shot that I just overlooked the placement part. Well, better luck next time! |

Thanks. I think I will try that. Get the dandelion more centered tin the dark part of the daisy. |

I can try that. I think masking the dandelion will be very hard. Might be easier to reshoot the scene and try to be sure the dandelion is within the darker center of the Gerber daisy. Thanks for your suggestion! |

Beautiful colors. I kind of like the whole flower a bit more but would crop the other flowers out. I think orchids are difficult to photograph |

Love the colors and the head and front part of the butterfly are nice and sharp. I don't mind some blurred areas nearly as much as some other people. I think you did a great job here! |

This tells a story more than just the photo of the flower would. Like the flower, color is great and the center tuft looks nice and sharp. |
