I did not change any colors in edit. The flower is a tiny white flower but with UV looks blue/purple. The UV makes the center glow! I think it was yellow but not sure now- in any case I did not alter the color in post edits. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that. I did have to change the center of the vignette to not cover up the bottom of the flower. |

I had the smaller UV flash light directed at the center of the flower. Some of the back petals probably are lit by bouncing light from the white cloth I hung behind the flower, thus the front is a bit darker. I actually thought it was too sharp after I processed It so used a small percent of a plug in that softens photos. Perhaps I overdid it? |

Nice feather. Would have liked the stem of the feather to be sharper but the feathery parts came out nice. |

I bought the UV flashlight form Midnight Minerals. I took a class with Don Kamerechki and that was where he recommended getting it as it had something to do with the wavelength ( which I now forget). I bought a smaller one and a larger one. I of course got the safety glasses too. I did a little post processing. Mainly to bring out the glow in the center and I softened the edges of the flower some and there is a little vignette. Thanks for your comments. Glad you like it! |
