95 Feb 25 Reply It is camera. I shoot with a Canon R5. My usual macro lens is a Canon 100mm. But for this I used a Laowa lens which, as I noted above, I think it says 2.5-5. it is very macro with a very very narrow DOF so hard to work with. I did not use a microscope. I had a polarizing lens on my camera and the flashlight, which was pointing at hte camera lens, had a piece of everyday plastic in front of it to help create polarization effect. Feb 13th
95 Feb 25 Comment Somehow my image did not reach Stuart and I could not resend it as it is on a different external drive at home. This was taken with my Laowa lens. I think it says 2.5-5 or something like that (I am not at home to check); it is an extreme macro lens. I was trying to photograph crystals and got this photo of some bubbles trapped under a cover glass on the slide which I liked more than the crystals I was trying to photograph. I took this about 9 months ago or so.The lighting was a flashlight pointing at me through the slide buffered by going through some plastic which can bring out the refraction of the crystals and turned the bubbles blue (it was a white light). I'm not sure I could duplicate this as it was pretty serendipitous but I liked the effect Feb 9th
95 Feb 25 Comment Nice image with pleasant DOF. Bug is sharp enough. I have no idea if it is a scorpion! Agree with Stuart's recommendation

95 Feb 25 Comment Very nice image. Looks good in B&W. The detail is amazing! Feb 9th
95 Feb 25 Comment I never heard of this but I guess it's bit like dropping paint in water photography. I like the blue with white streaks. The red looks muddy and I don't think it adds to hte blue. Perhaps a crop might help. I've seen some nice photos of acrylic paint dropped into a vase of water and the swirls photographed. Was that what you were aiming for? Feb 9th
95 Feb 25 Comment I see what you mean although most of the crystals are sharp. The little bit that isn't doesn't bother me. The leaf gives it interest and nice color. When I focus stack I struggle and spend a lot of time trying to decide what part of the area is actually closest to me to start the process. It's not always what I thought at first. Feb 9th
95 Feb 25 Comment Very nice photo . It's interesting and has a nice color palette. The macro images came out great Feb 9th
