No assistant BTW. I focused on the center of the cup before I poked the bag and then adjusted the bag position to be sure it dripped in the center of the cup. The drops are too fast to focus when they start |

I didn't have to try a lot of different settings. I used a remote so I was faster at shooting. I hung a baggie with water tinged with milk from a clamp on the stand I usually put my big reflector on. I had one flash on the right side, and a device on my camera to trigger the flash with each shot. However I got a lot of black photos because the flash couldn't recycle as fast as I was shooting. I poked a tiny hole in the bag with a needle and it dripped constantly so I was able to time it after a few tries. I put the cup you see in the photo in an empty large glass bowl it caught the overflow. Hope that helps. I would like to know if there is something I can do to make my flash work faster? If anyone knows. |

They are very similar. I like the one you posted more as it is softer in the splash/bowl part but both are nice. I like the colors. Squeezing a wet towel sounds hard to time. I used a baggie and once I had it hung from the stand that usually holds a reflector I put a tiny hole in the bottom with a needle. That left my hands free to work the camera and adjust things. |

Very nice detail including the daisy and the bug. Might look nice cropped as a closeup of part of the daisy and all of the insect. |

This is a really weird plant! Nice focus stack of it though. Not sure what you cloned. I would have guessed the slightly out of focus hairs/thorns in the upper left but that wouldn't have been on the edge so maybe not. Deep colors too. |

I assumed it was a flower but perhaps not. Beautiful lighting. |

Thanks. I struggled with whether to leave that tiny drop in or not. It's not sharp so probably better left out. The light is all from one flash and I took all the photos te same way so it must be reflected off the left rim of the glass. |
