I think the color looks ok. I -personally never use auto so not sure how well it adjusts. |

I like how the plant fades into the background. The soft background colors and the fading look really nice. I would like to see a little more of the side of the plant facing the viewer in focus. I think also try to decrease the blackness of the dark are beneath the plant which should be easy to do. Overall a nice image! |

To get the reflections you need to at least have a fairly directed/concentrated light on the flower behind and much less spillover of light onto the subject. I have used my Fiddle light with black construction paper as flags also. |

The color is striking and beautiful. I don't mind the blur as it draws the eye into the center of the flower. I like your POV on the flower and it is very nicely framed. I would suggest toning down the bright white spots in the center of the flower; perhaps with a radial filter you could just decrease white or highlights. In taking the photo you could HDR 2 or 3 photos also. It's tedious, but I sometimes use the healing brush to remove some of these types of things so there are not so many white spots. That would probably be best just so there are not so many. Lovely photo! |

This is a lovely photo of this flower. The lighting looks nice to me and the detail is great. There are a few little spots on the white petals I would take out with the healing brush in PS.If you were to do it again I might try a slightly narrower DOF to blur the tree branch more but I would n't want to lose the sharpness on the flower so you would have to see if f5.6 would work or not |

An interesting image. Didn't know what it was without explanation. I agree with prior comments to take out the little crescent of white on the left edge of the photo and darken the white spot at upper right. I might actually darken it a little all round the main subject i.e. an off center vignette. This might look nice in black and white too. |
