I used an RRS Versa tripod and a NodalNinja indexed rotator (which I find really useful got shooting composited panos to get the stitching's to match). |

The Milky Way over Devil's Golfcourse in Death Valley. The fractional moon was in the process of setting and provided a little illumination for the rocks. You can see the glow of the approaching sunrise to the east. Composited panoramic image (7 images for the foreground, 7 for the sky), preprocessed in lightroom, stiched in Ptgui, composited in photoshop. |
