Taken from a unique angle and somewhat disorderly, but tells the story well. The sailor is focused and ready! We see all the elements clearly; sail ready to be unfurled, hand on the rudder, cigarettes on standby, and motor/gas can in case of need. Maybe a little more of his face would show a very interesting character, but that could be a different story. |

Great capture of the coastline all the way to Diamond Head! Zero vertical distortion, which is seen many times in such images. I have been to this location several times, and you have created a great perspective view. I also like Gerard's edit which adds more punch to a great image.

Very clear story of the gentleman glimpsing at the artwork. Good tonal balance and I especially like the way you kept the lower right dark to emphasize the flow of the man walking. I would soften the ghost glow around the man's cap. It is distracting to me. |

I see lots of stories imagined in their faces, especially in the elder. But didn't quite catch your "faded gentility" story goal. I didn't realize it was a composite until I read your description. Nice job of blending. Very sharp and clear and the lighting and shadows are well rendered and balanced. |

I like the compositional and tonal balance between the buildings and the sky. I also like that there are birds in every element of the image; sky, land and sea. Sure looks like a desolate place, which you captured nicely. |

I rather like the toning. To me it reflects the nature of the various wood elements that were photographed. I agree that it looked cluttered at first, but after further observation, I see a nice flow from bottom right to upper left. |
