Cheers Rita, much appreciated :-) I'm never sure if I'm rambling on a bit much, but happy to if it's helpful. |

Cheers Dean, lol no unfortunately the onion weed isn't edible. Yes, without the focus stacking there would be only a very small portion of the flower in focus. |

Hi Rita, What a lovely part of the world! Your crop looks fine, and your editing has brought out the detail in the trees and shoreline nicely. The only thing I would suggest (for entering into a comp) would be to remove the small object in the middle of the lake (about 1/5th in from the right of the frame) and a couple of the bare tree tops on the left. Possible (minor) suggestions when taking the photo: a couple of steps to the left may have revealed more of the distant mountain in between the shorelines to give those big leading lines a little more to lead to; 1/1000 seems a little high for a relatively still image - I would possibly consider lowering the shutter speed and increasing the aperture. (Unrelated side note/update re my last month's photo - I hadn't realised that comments were closed at the end of the month. Thank you for your comment, and I did end up entering it into the 'Self portrait' set subject (I know, you said to forgo the selfie part, but...) and scored a merit & judges choice) |

Hi Dean, looks like a great place to go camping! The composition and editing work well to make the flowers stand out. Would agree about having the third flower included. (side note/update re last month's photo - I entered it in the 'Self Portrait' set subject and got a merit & judges choice). |
