Thanks Michele! And I tried out a few different arrangements, but eventually settled on square. I don't normally go for square for landscapes either but I think it fit my purposes here. I suppose it just comes down to individual preference. |

Michele, my condolences for your loss.
I agree with Theresa, I prefer the monochrome version precisely because the buildings don't stick out as much. I think it captures the drama a bit more, and turns the human structures into a detail that the viewer has to pick out against the sweeping landscape. I do love an image that makes the viewer lean forward. |

Tom, lots of variables coming together to make this a great image: the bird in the top right, the ship's position in relation to the sun, the clouds covering the sun just right. Well done on putting that all together! |
