Sanat, I agree with Charles and Mark. I'll add that I would have been conflicted on this photo as well. The cloud and the tree with the couple walking to the right suggests one possible "story". The congregation of people near the waters edge suggest another story (and their reflections in the water open more possibilities). So many other possibilities in the scene! I would have a hard time choosing.

I agree with Mark in that the larger of the trees overpowers the image. My first glance was "snake!" (Might be something to work with there!)
Without the larger tree this is an amazing photo to me. The tones and setting suggest hot and/or muggy. The trees suggest a tropical environment. And I really like the distant trees being out of focus.
I do like the color changes you added. |

Kudos on getting the lines mostly square in both the original photo and the followup to Stephen's comment. That is something I never really paid attention to until a training I did with PSA. Spot on!
The door and the dog change the mood of the photo for me. Something of hope or life versus the original being a feeling of despair. The follow up to Stephen's question I think adds to the feeling of despair as the photo is not centered.
Not something I normally think about - but I like where you are going with these! |

I really thought about keeping the child in green facing the other two as his face is not shown. I so want to borrow a few grandkids and redo this photo!
Thanks for the comment on the f-stop. I need to watch that on photos like this. F8-11 would be better in this photo and I had more than enough light to work with. Thanks! |

I like the edits you did to enhance the flag and the crop.
Just picking on these comments: The colors between the two buildings seem a little different and not sure if they should be similar. Also - I took a seminar with an architectural guru here on PSA and suggested the lines could be corrected in most cases. The close building is really diverging from vertical with the far building close - but still diverging in the other direction. I still like a lot of photos with these issues (normal for most lenses) but now I have the guru's voice in my mind trying to correct various items to include vertical lines in architectural photography.
