88 Jan 25 Comment Sanat,

You continue to "sell me" on visiting India. Definitely something I must do one day!

I like the edits you did for the sky and the colors. Just for fun I resized my browser with the image in a tab by itself for a 1:1 crop and played with balancing the image a bit. Just an idea to bring out the colors in the rocks and suggest a line to the boat in the distance. Not sure if it is a good idea, but something to try.

Excellent shot!

88 Jan 25 Comment Brian,

I really like the geometry that the photo suggests: circular outer tree of green with the asymmetric purple and lighter greens.

One thought on the sky: instead of replace, see if you can select the sky and maybe use the dehaze to show just a little blue between the clouds.

Nice capture! And what a place to capture birds. I'll add my "vote" for the crop and the rest of Charles' suggestion. But that might be more of a preference.

If you have another chance at the capture, try 1/1250s. Image stabilization on your camera is good enough for your movement. However, I never seem to have good luck under 1/1250s with active birds. There is some movement that would prevent the crop Charles suggests and I think you just need a little faster shutter to make it work (even if you stay with the original composition).

88 Jan 25 Comment Quang- I'm jealous and so want to go to Peru!

Normally I'm in with others on cropping to get another photo - not sure I agree this time as you have captured the vastness of the area well. (And the downward angle of the shot might not work out well.) The colors are brought out well!

The only suggestion I have would be to experiment with having the sheep stand out a bit more to help with the story.

88 Jan 25 Comment What an amazing photo - and I love the colors! All I can say is if you need clouds - I have them! We drove all around Denali a few years ago and never saw the mountain and few of the hills - we were socked in! Congratulations on having an amazing shot and a boring sky! Jan 22nd
88 Jan 25 Reply Yes, the camera does have a stacking function - something I'm still learning. The result is a small moon. Charles does have a point on pasting in a moon that meets the size for the photo. Not sold, but would get the job done.

I was trying to keep the colors in the sky and I do think that was to the detriment of the trees losing color/saturation. Good catch and something I'll look into.

88 Jan 25 Comment Mark - Love the shot! "moody skys" are always fun - especially over open ocean.

Something to play with is that pelican. One option would be lightening up the pelican a little. I'm not sold on the idea as the backlit view of the pelican is nice. But if you have the resolution it might be interesting.
