Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
88 May 24 Reply Interesting comment on the balance. If I understand your comment "crop to the action" meaning to have a little more space in front of the "athlete" (my wife will love that one!) then I would have to agree - and admit I missed that one. Thanks!

By the way, I've been told I might find my camera compromised if I take photos of her without her permission ... hoping not to find out what that means ...

88 May 24 Reply Nice ideas. The focus (of my wife) is something I fought on this composition. I have several with and without her in focus and somewhat arbitrarily considered out of focus was the way to go. I'll review that more going forward. Definitely a good point on the whites - something I overlooked. May 27th
88 May 24 Comment Wow! What you do when editing the photos is just enough to enjoy the photo, but not too much to look fake. I'm really curious how you blended the replaced moon in with the image. (I still have trouble blending the colors/exposure.)

Amazing photo!

88 May 24 Comment Please take this comment with the understanding I'm still learning: I think there is a bit too much happening in this image.

I might have moved to the left 5-10 meters and forward to place an emphasis on the group to the left of the image - maybe kneeling down. That would have made the story about that family (group?).

To be fair, I catch myself making a lot of images with too many people (or objects) where the viewer is not sure where to look.

88 May 24 Comment We had the opportunity to witness this eclipse here in Arkansas - what an experience!

I like The creative direction you took with the warm tones. The only negative is that the color contrast of the solar flares is somewhat hidden by the amount of color temp change. Although the flare to the right of the image still has a strong reddish color. I think this is a bit of a preference though and still like what you have done.

88 May 24 Comment I wish we could see a higher resolution of this photo. I like what you have done and that wood grain would be fun to see. (Not a suggestion on technique, just the limits of the photos we upload.) The fill at the top is another area I've been too timid to try myself. Your application is amazing based on what I can see.

Love it!

88 May 24 Comment Mark, I keep photos like this to remind me what I like and to return to the location - maybe at a different time. The composition has something going, but the light is fighting you (you may already know this). I LOVE overcast skies as I'm lazy and often miss blue hour... Although I must admit Charles has a good idea to save the image if this is a location you cannot easily return to. May 18th
