I don't see that as cheating :-) As I get older I am seeing the need! |

Thank you, Kieu-Hanh! I think you're suggestion is good about balancing it with a crop from the top, since things run into the edges. I had wondered about that! |

Thanks, Jack! I'll go back and see what I can do. I like Bob's sample too, and will punch it it up. |

I like over-the-top! You'll see some of my creations are pretty out there. Thank you for the suggestions! I like your sample and I will look at distress fx+ So far, I have stuck with Snapseed. There are grunge options within it, too. I just worried about taking it too far, but I'll investigate all the options. |

The results are lovely, Pat. I assume the steps you took to get these results are those you mentioned above. I especially like background and diagonal lines. The background chosen almost resembles the striations of the petals. Very nice textures revealed throughout. As with all new things there's always a learning curve, but I think this shows you've already gotten the hang of things! Happy New Year! |

Happy New Year, Kieu-Hanh! This is truly a beautiful fall scene. It really pops with color! I especially like the leading lines and the two crooked trees. They make the scene more interesting to me the way they lean toward the road making a welcoming arch. It had to be a glorious drive that day! |

Welcome and Happy New Year, Bob! I think you captured a lovely nature scene at just the right time of day. I think your results are very nice. I especially like the lighting, reflections and ripples, and the birds at left are super-- they appear very clearly focused to me. Well done! |

Happy New Year, Gene! This is a very impressive piece of architecture. I like the entire composition. There is alot to see of interest in the scene. Night shots take a steady hand, and you were successful! Your edits are fine, especially the closer crop to bring the building to the main focus. Nice image! |

It was a shaded area, no interesting light, so I brightened that spot. It might be better to recompose, keeping more of the grinder (on right) in the frame. What do you think? |

The BW is great for this, but I so like the lighting crossing the dunes in the original. Overall, you have a beautiful composition. As far as the boots, just keep 2 images-- one with and one without. To me, the most impressive image is without boots, so I'd crop just above the toes. I love the trail of prints through the sand. Very nice! |

Happy, Healthy New Year! What a great job you did editing and removing all the structure around the sign! I haven't experimented with the night setting but I should. You got very nice, colorful results. Five miles of lights is quite a ride! |
