Thank you, Jose. Yes, intentionally altered. The original was taken for architectural details I intended for creative use. I don't expect my "extreme alterations" to be accepted by all. Art is in everything, and we all have preferences. My eye condition no longer allows me to use my regular camera, so I use the phone camera. The apps offer a world of possibilities to me. I checked to make sure I'm staying within the group guidelines with my posts because your comments caused me to wonder if I somehow might be outside the rules. I'm not.
I believe it's entirely possible to see the same things all the time, ignore them and never really notice them-- as this building I see every day. At the same time it's possible to marvel at details of those things, precisely because they are different and missed by most. We make choices about what to present and how. We isolate what we think is interesting and hopefully arrange things to make them noticeable. Regardless of cameras used, even award-winning images are often manipulated via high-end editing software-- which I've never used (not even PS).

Thank you, Andy-- As I said to Mervyn, I feel success in that it took people some time to figure out! |

Yes, it's the shadow I am talking about, and truly the tiniest of things. Don't worry about it. Either way is fine! |

Welcome to the group, Andy! This is a beautiful piece of natural artistry. I could see immediately a bare tree reflected in whe rippling water along with the sky. I like the colors you captured and that you chose only to focus on the reflections. The smallest nit-pick: for uniformity, remove the rounded shadow at top right. Lovely and calming image. |

The colors are very nice on the dark background, and I especially like the watery edges and water drops on the flower. I only see a bit of a purple remaining that needs removed between the top flower and lilypad. I think it works with an even number, as opposed to odd, because of the partial lilypad in the frame. |

The choice of the filter created overall improvements-- lovely tones, especially in the sky, land in the back, and in the sails. It also brought out nice details. My only suggestion is minor. I don't think you need as much foreground and would crop some of it. |

No depending on the weather anymore, but sometimes good things result anyway. From the original to the final is greatly improved and it is a beautiful, memorable scene. The sky is very special, but I feel like it competes with the foreground formations because of the unusual landscape. I might punch up the sky for even more color saturation. I go back-and-forth on this, but I might test cropping a sliver from the top making more of a panorama. |

It's a priceless expression! It tells the story of strength and endurance, especially in the face of waiting because of the virus. The expression reveals pain and relief at the end of such a race. Your plan to capture this at the finish was wise, and using BW gives it strength. I have only tiny suggestions to remove the light area at the right edge, and maybe ?? the same near the back of his head. Very nice! |

I love it when people have to really look to figure things out! The shiny bits seem to throw people off. I've been asked, "What is it, how did it get there?" several times. Thanks, it has been a fun image. |

I thought the same, Kieu-Hahn. it will come in handy for some creations, and I kept thinking it needed more leaves spilling into the negative spaces. I will experiment with some cloning. Thanks! |

Which one, which one...he seems to be thinking. The final is a very nice image that no one would ever guess is superimposed. About the hat letters, I have encountered the same thing occasionally, but caught it in time. Perfect when flipped until I noticed the reversed letters-- so more work was needed. You cleverly placed the boy in the field and the results are great. Lovely lines and brilliant colors! |

Sunrises are always nice, but the rock formations in this landscape steal the show. Your edits with the filter are spot-on for this. The textures and colors revealed are phenomenal! I also see more than one image here if you crop the sky to just above the first white puffs. Beautiful and memorable image! |

This is a lovely backlit image. I love the results of your choice. It makes the designs of the dark branches pop. The entire image appears almost like stained glass. Nice! |

Ruth, I am so glad you didn't try picking this up! The info I found says it causes very painful reactions. In spite of the focus here (which you will figure out with Jack's help), I think you have another good record image for your encyclopedia of yard art. Nice spotting! |
