Thank you, Anges! You are not alone. Several people outside the group prefer the softer one too. Printing both will help for comparison. |

Yes-- that is exactly how I wanted it to appear. Thank you, Tony! |

Great action shot! I really like it. It is unfortunate about the sky and mountains. The day was very bright. About the only thing you can do is maybe replace the sky. I think you might crop the right side to the middle of the yellow grasses and bring more of the riders closer. |

Thanks, Jose! I agree about the moon. Basically, with Snapseed's 'double exposure' tool, I copied the original, rotated it so the top is at the bottom. Then, pinching it on the screen to stretch it, I placed it over the original so it looks like what you see here. Then I reduced the opacity, which only changes the top image (the rotated, upside down one). After that, I made the remaining edits for color, texture, etc. It sounds like alot, but really isn't. It was finalized quickly :-) |

It's a very interesting bird, and the branches have nice green lichens growing on them. I would soften things some, reduce the saturation and sharpness, which might help the bird stand out more. |

I think I can do that in Snapseed. I believe part of the upside down image landed on the moon making it overly textured. Thank you! |

This had to be a painstaking work of art. It is a perfectly beautiful image. I keep wanting to pull it down on right but it may be an illusion. Without looking at the left and right edges, everything appears exact. I have some trouble seeing the coffering until looking near the edges where there is some depth. As a graphic design, it is brilliant and provides interesting optical illusions. I think it also works well as a vertical -- wide at left with the rest tapering/receding into smaller sections off to the right. |

This reminds me so much of a cabin on a pond in Cashiers, NC that we've stayed in. The area you were in is very pretty. There is a wonderful stillness, peacefulness, in your image. The mirror image reflections are very special, as well as the light breaking through. For some reason, there is an odd pink tint showing over the wooden structures on my monitor. If it's seen by others, maybe the WB can be adjusted to correct it. I love how the trees reflect and frame the cabin in a 'hug'. |

Alot of work! Your edits paid off and took care of many issues you had especially because of the light and haze. The edits appear perfectly executed to me. I like the low angle and how you opened up the darkness in the engine for details. If a little space could be added to the left it would help, but I'm not bothered by the tightness there. I personally think this scene would make a great in BW, and even in a color splash with only the light, number and bell in color. |

Thank you, Ruth! I have a lot of fun! It's a great year for this plant maybe due to our heat (ugh). First time it has sent out little chicks. |

Very nice in BW! Your choice to convert it really helps hold the eye directly on this beautiful old well. I much prefer it to the color version, and especially for the shadows. Your edits worked wonders. If you can revisit this, I'd try the infrared too. It's a simple object but very impressive. |

Thank you, Kieu-Hanh! I don't ever have a real plan. I try different things, save copies and then decide. I was going to stop with the image below which I do like. It is a more simple version, slightly spinning the leaves. But I decided to keep going and see what else I could do. In Mirror Lab, I tried different ideas, placed one over the other and liked the sparkling effect so I stopped there. |

Thank you! The processing is easy, it's just using different apps. I've never used PS or Lightroom, but I imagine some edits I made can be found there, too. I like Snapseed but was intimidated at first. I tested one image in it, watched the tutorials and it became easier. The app, Mirror Lab, is alot of fun for me. |

I don't know if you use an Android or iPhone, but the app Mirror Lab is available for both, and free unless you want pro selections. A former member of this group recommended it, and I'm hooked. You might like it. It's very easy to use and has the most unusual selections for mirroring. I like Kieu-Hanh's description of your image. It definitely looks like fireworks! |

It is a very nice story in a field of bright sunflowers. It's fascinating to see the work of art in progress. I like the composition angle because it seemed to be a very bright day. I believe, though, you might be able to reduce the saturation of the sunflower greens a small amount, or reduce their brightness with the brush tool, and still have a very fine image. It is a nice capture, Kieu-Hanh! |

It is amazing what things can become. I can imagine many things with this! I see sets of praying mantis eyes, or maybe a brilliantly colored star in space. It's alot of fun, and it sounds like you enjoyed experimenting. Did you use a particular app for the mirroring? You turned a simple image into art! |

Thanks, Jack! Pinks and greens usually go well together, and I'm not a big fan of pink! The combo was popular in the 50s-- my family's kitchen was pink tile, green cabinets. Whew! |

I love your Living Yard Art! To me, this is a pretty perfect closeup. A tiny bit more space at left and bottom might help, but that's a nit-pic I think. Your edits nicely force weeds and grasses to the back so your subjects can shine. The tiny details and textures in the thistle are great, lovely contrasting colors. Bees are hard to capture as they move so fast, and you did a nice job! |

I truly don't know how this can be improved. It's a perfectly sweeping vista. You were quick to act! That's beautiful soft light, nice shadows. I especially like the sliver of clouds in the distance at the horizon level. Great colors and contrasts, sharp throughout. Lovely composition and I can't see it as anything other than a panorama. You could crop but why lose all of that. Bery nice! |
