26 Jun 21 Reply Thank you, Jose. I find myself doing more of this in the past year, and I enjoy it. The apps and editing programs we have now offer worlds of creativity. Jun 12th
26 Jun 21 Reply Yes, I think the butterfly could use some adjusting to pull it out of the lace. Thank you, Bob! Jun 12th
26 Jun 21 Reply Good idea to shrink the flower and butterfly and fit them to go through the window! Thank you, I love the many options with apps for creativity and have alot of fun with them. Jun 12th
26 Jun 21 Comment Sometimes gloomy days are best at surprising us with nice images. This is a striking scene in a country that offers so many! The reflections are very special. The only thing I see to change is a slightly tighter cropping. On left (up to the snow) and a little off the bottom, and maybe the tiniest bit from the top. I like the snow patch and wouldn't want to lose it. Jun 12th
26 Jun 21 Comment The blossom is nicely isolated with bold, yet soft color, and there are no background distractions. It's a choice, but I might have left a small amount of detail (veins). Depending on your preference, you could leave it as is or edit it for artistic effect. I experimented and flipped it. My fast edits are somewhat overdone, but darkening the background helps emphasize the single blossom and a portion of stem. You might also like the effect of spraying the blossom with water.

26 Jun 21 Comment Your edits improved the original greatly. I love the BW and the added clouds. The bench is a great lead in and from this angle offers a different view of the bridge. I like the choice of vertical, but it seems tight (narrow?) to me and I would leave a little more on each side or crop the top slightly. Jun 11th
26 Jun 21 Comment This tells a story we will never forget. The composition is lovely! The lines are lovely and the choice of mono is great for this image. I would slightly reduce the bright area to the right, and I agree with Bob's suggestion to remove the small tier behind the man. Jun 11th
26 Jun 21 Comment There is so much to like about this image, but for me the light is particulary special coming through the clouds across the buildings. I like the water reflections, but on my tablet they look slightly oversaturated. I don't see the water as important to this final scene. For more focus on the water leading into the cityscape, I think you would just move farther back and get that view. Your edits warmed the color and greatly improved the overall image. It looks very real and natural. Jun 11th

86 Jun 21 Reply Thanks, Pat! A good thing to make you wonder! Jun 30th
86 Jun 21 Reply Thank you, Kieu-Hanh! I think the wood has to go! Jun 12th
86 Jun 21 Reply Ruth, that's a great idea! I have some others to share with them too. I'm always taking pictures of their building because it's so old. Thanks! Jun 12th
86 Jun 21 Comment This is a beautiful image, and your edits created a very nice painterly look. I love the colors and reflections on the water. I think the colors are spot-on. I wouldn't change a thing. You might need to put the image in a different editing app to achieve the frame you want. I don't use an iPhone but you might find help here: https://iphonephotographyschool.com/snapseed/ Jun 8th
86 Jun 21 Comment Such a perfect image! It is crisp sharp and such a great specimen of this buzzy critter. Bizarrely, we haven't had them in our area of Va. but we experienced them in Md. years ago. You captured fantastic details in the red eyes and especially the beauty in the wings. Nice! Jun 8th
86 Jun 21 Comment What a skyline, and traffic! Love the image, the red diagonal and sunset. It's amazing that this is through thick, and surely pollution-covered windows. About editing, take it as far as you can. Tiny things personally distract me- blue sign on left and bright light in the building to right. I'd crop or remove the light but you might need to leave the sign. The shadow (from a reflection) on lower right can be brushed or dodged/burned, and I think adjusting the lighting and increasing the saturation will make this pop! Jun 8th
86 Jun 21 Comment I'm happy to see more of your Yard Art. I love garden spiders and their designs. I put up a sign to protect a web between a bush and our front door! This is a fascinating design for sure and I see the attraction. It could use more focus, and as Jack said, it's hard to do with a cell phone. It's hard on knees and back too! I can't be sure, but for this shot you might have needed to move back a little. If you do more closeups, check to see if you can change the phone's camera settings to help. I have a "pro" option on mine (not used often) where settings can be selected just like any camera. Happy summer! Jun 8th
86 Jun 21 Reply Thanks, Jack! I wondered about the wood. I agree that it needs to be removed. I think I'll do some cloning. Jun 8th
