This is mesmerizing. At first I thought it might be aerial image of an ocean or desert. The lighting is beautiful making the colors brilliant. Steam, like fog, can be tricky (I never get it right), and I think you handled it well. Nice image! |

This looks like a caladium or coleus. Both have wonderful fractal (and pseudo-fractal) designs that lend to abstracts. All of your edits enhanced the image and it appears perfectly natural. I see no need for changes. Love the colors! I take many flower shots and for some reason I have more pink/green combinations than any others. I wish you success in the competition! |

Lovely night shot of the architecture and very colorful. What strikes me about it is what appears to be a sudden disruption of peace. The calm area, soft night lighting, is jolted by electrified light trails. It seems to need straightening (pull left down), and I would crop the bottom (or remove) the pavement marker. On the right crop to remove the lamp for balanced symmetry. Cropping the right also gets rid of the shadowy legs/feet not connected to bodies. Patience paid off! No people! |

A perfect image for B/W, and if you are leaning toward the abstract, the patterns work. I love how the bristles stand perfectly straight. It almost looks as though someone combed their "hair" beforehand. I would clone/heal the small bites on the ear and mark on the neck. I can see this paired with other similar images. |

Yes, shivers! I was thinking of a swamp near our last house and how it looked in heavy fog, full moon. It was a lonely place and somewhat creepy. I think branches in the softer version create your cleverly imagined description of batik. |

Love the colors! They are bold and a good choice with the the sharp designs. |

That's very kind, Tom. I lose my mojo all the time! You're images are great! It takes time fiddling for sure. I haven't ventured far from the first apps I started with. No doubt you'd run circles around me with normal post processing (I've never used PS or Lightroom). If you transfer your image to a compatible tablet for edits it helps. I bought an old one with surprisingly good resolution. An eye saver! |

Welcome to the group, Marilyn! That's a very nice phone you are using. A few friends in another group use it and love it. I'm envious! Your sunset, or sunrise, is beautiful, especially the cloud textures and brilliant colors. The shape reminds me of a bird's wings. I like the image as is and see no changes needed. I'm not sure I see how you used the 2nd image with the tree. Superimposed and then removed the tree? Lovely, soft and soothing! |

I'm unfamiliar with the apps you used, so I can't offer much regarding them. I do like your concept of the rose floating among the clouds. With Snapseeds Double Exposure tool you can move the top image around and adjust opacity. You would have needed to start your creation in Snapseed, though. Your retrieval of petal tips is pretty much spot on! I think the clouds would look great with your Orig.2 including the fading leaves, adjusted so light shines through the petals. Overall, I prefer a softer look, but that's your choice! On my screen the rose seems very 'hot' or saturated and clouds grainy, but it could be the strength of Accentuate, or maybe my tablet. It is a very creative piece! |

Tom, Snapseed's brush tool for dodge/burn might work for a darker background :-)

Welcome to our group, Kieu-Hanh! I hope you enjoy it. We have alot of fun with our phone images, and I look forward to yours!
This is such a cute character and looks like it should move like a robot. Getting such a crisp and colorful shot from a double-decker bus had to be tricky. I really like the image and the people filing into the building. Cropping would pull in your focal point more, but I go back-and-forth on the idea because I like the upper window designs. If you leave it as is, I would only suggest a correction to the perspective straightening the building. That can be fixed with the tool in Snapseed. Great message in this little character! |

Very striking! I actually see nothing needed. It's a great closeup, and your Snapseed edits handled the background and other elements perfectly. Nicely done in my book! |

Oh my! That's an incredible transformation (and great way to spend time waiting). I love the final abstract. At first I thought you had been playing with Mirror Lab, but that you did this simply by superimposing is impressive. I like the colors, but I would enjoy the B/W too! |

Ruth, this just brings smiles and memories! We did the same thing as children - poor creature! I don't recall why, but we called them 'jar flies'. Who knows, but to this day when I hear them I'm reminded of fun times. I love the closeup composition and the googly-eyes. Reminds me of a Star Wars machine. Your edits are great. As for sizing, others may have better suggestions, but I often cannot size perfectly, due to the original ratio of my photo-- so I take the selection of size as close as possible and go with it. |
