I see your point,Tony. I'll look to see if I kept a shot that includes the cut area. If so, I can work with it. For this particular one, I can try expanding the right a little and work to restore the area but it might be to much effort. Worth trying, though. Thank you! |

Thank you for that! Now I can stop researching. Although, I did learn alot about the designs used in that period. |

We're all looking back, I think, or maybe planning for future travels :-) There are plenty of photo projects, even as we stay in place. Just need to stay positive and keep motivated (not always easy). Thank you for your suggestions and please stay safe! |

You are literally just around the corner (or "point" in this case) from this little island. We love Maine and have explored much of it over the years. It certainly would be a wonderful place to be right now! |

Thanks, yes grass is overdone. Maybe what you see is the flag flying?? There is one. On small monitors it looks like something floating near the porch. |

Beautiful shot of this sleepy-headed bird. The details in feathers are great, colors are very nice, but I especially like the detailed eyelid half closed. I would remove the light bit of background at upper right. If possible I would darken or blur the rock around the bird to force it more into the background. |

Very impressive landscape. I like the massive icy, frozen area with only a tiny green area along the slope. The treatment of the sky is very nice. I see halo effect along the mountain edges so backing off sharpening might get rid of it. Very nicely composed. |

Very dazzling and nicely composited. I agree on the brightness. Selectively reducing brightness particularly in the ceiling of the vaulted area might bring a stronger 3D effect. To me, the architecture in the vaulted area is most amazing. Albert's comment prompts curiosity into the many geometric, artistic designs used in the architecture. I notice some around the door that were tragically distorted in later history. It would be fascinating to know all their meanings. It had to be mesmerizing in person. |

Beautiful treatment of the landscape. I know it's not meant to be the focus, but I am glad the elephant is in the scene. Just take away the branches from the head of the elephant. Nothing else needed. |

Very nice and almost surreal with your edits. I agree that the cliffs in the distance would benefit from lightening, allowing the nice S to keep interest and lead the eye. There is so much to see in this image. I like the many falls. |

It's a very nice shot and good reminder to 'look behind you'. I would not change the sky. Clouds would draw the eye away and out of the frame. The symmetry is great. I like everything lined up to see the repetition and then the one cutting shadow revealing nice textures in the stone wall. The absence of the one whole circle is fine with me. If you look closely flowers/weeds are growing in those circles. Interesting ruins! |

Great title! I love irises. Closeups make great abstracts. This is a very beautiful rendering. The final results of your edits offer a pretty painterly effect. I suggest a slight crop from the bottom and a vignette added. Cropping moves the focal point off the mid-frame and a vignette would draw and hold the eye at the flowers throat, tongue, etc. Fun story of how you captured this! As for EXIF, it often is not viewable. I've experienced this too. It's not gone, but if you really want all the info you can use an EXIF 'app' to view it. I've needed to do this at times. |

Phillipa, I love your creative imagination. At first glance I thought this might be fireworks. No one would guess that this is superimposed and over an image of trees! I love the numerous explosions and the perfectly crisp starlights. I can see a clash, a dance, but I'd love to know why you chose 'Samurai'. It's exciting and electric! |
