26 Nov 19 Reply Thanks for stopping by, Stephen. I took several shots from varying angles, some of statues. Nice observation of the indifference! For this, I wanted the light on arches. I used my phone camera, Galaxy s9; lens is 4.30mm. Nov 11th
26 Nov 19 Reply Thank you. I have a tool that I can try for warping. I have another version with more contrast to those arches you mention. Just couldn't decide-- Nov 10th
26 Nov 19 Comment This is very unusual, steep terrain. I like the clouds hovering and the spots of vivid colors. It was hard to determine the perspective at first, but I noticed a bit of road to the left. Seeing more of the road might be helpful. Nov 10th

26 Nov 19 Comment What a beauty, and you were fortunate to capture it with no movement at all. Do you know what kind of bird it is? I think, from your description, that you cropped correctly, and handled the focus and background well. It all looks fine. I like the details, especially in the feet clutching the rail. The shadow falls across an area of white feathers (toward the leg) that might benefit from brightening. There are some beautiful wispy feathers there that would be nice to detail. Nov 10th
26 Nov 19 Comment Without looking closely to see the people, this resembles something 'otherworldly'. It was not obvious that this was indoors which, to me, adds mystery and impact. I like the symmetry, especially the light on the arches and diminishing effect. I prefer the BW. The original blue is nice, but the many signs are bothersome. They are not as readily noticed in your BW. I, too, think darkening will make a stronger image. Nov 10th
26 Nov 19 Comment The shadows are very neat, and this is great in BW. I like both versions, your final and the flipped. As a preference, I lean toward your final, but probably because I tend to do things right to left (incorrectly at times). I see no changes needed. There are many details and textures. Very nice. 26 Nov 19 Comment Welcome, Tony! I hope you enjoy our group.
How fantastic to have been among these people and observe their way of life. This is perfectly sharp, and the image portrays a warm gentleness of their lives. They are busy with a very important task. I see no changes needed. The dark piece on the left might be removed, but I hesitate about cropping. The people, animals, colors are all beautiful. Nice image.

26 Nov 19 Comment What an unusual design. It reminds me somehow of a whale. The BW makes all the difference. It makes all the varying lines and angles really pop. Nice job getting rid of the car and sign. It would be preferable to have the one railing section pulled up on right if possible. Very nice architectural image. Nov 10th

86 Nov 19 Reply Thank you! Nov 13th
86 Nov 19 Reply Thank you. I have a version with more stems. It wasn't good. The vase was very tall. A different angle might have worked, though. Nov 13th
86 Nov 19 Reply Thanks, Ruth, for your kind comment! Nov 11th
86 Nov 19 Reply Thank you! That's very nice of you to say! Nov 11th
86 Nov 19 Reply You are very kind. Thank you! Nov 11th
86 Nov 19 Comment It's a very happy street scene and intriguing. I like his expression. It makes you wonder what he sees. It is odd that he is perched on the edge of the walkway. I might have cropped a little differently, keeping the doorway and even a bit more of the stone wall. I like the wall as a leading line. Colorful and crisp. Very nicely seen! Nov 11th

86 Nov 19 Comment What a nice trip! Very pretty looking through the trees to the rolling farmlands. Lovely colors and the shadow leading the eye is special. I, too, had to look for your edits which made nice improvements. The cellphone cameras are amazing these days, and I am forever impressed. Nov 11th

86 Nov 19 Comment ProCamera is a nice program. Wish I could use it but it isn't compatible with my phone. Your image reminds me of something from The Hobbit. It's fascinating with your edits and looks a little like a stairway. I like the resulting colors even though you feel that something changed in the process of transferring. You might consider an additional image directly from your phone to compare. Just put it in the reply box. I often submit my images straight from the phone. The only change I would make to your image is removal of highlights from the one root that looks snake-like. Nicely seen! Nov 11th

86 Nov 19 Comment Happy Thanksgiving! It's a fantastic hopper. You got so many details, and you must be quick! The glamour glow helped reduce the background nicely. The only thing I see to work on is sharpening a bit around the head. Nov 11th
86 Nov 19 Comment Very, very nice! I agree with Margaret that it was beautiful to begin with. It's perfect in my eyes. Congrats on the new phone and equipment! Nov 11th
86 Nov 19 Comment That is so cool, the whole story! I love her sparkly shoes. You captured a great contrast between the wooden shoes and hers. It tells a nice story. Your edits are perfect with wonderful colors and textures revealed in the shoes and especially in the porch. I just wish she had taken a photo of the photographer! Nov 11th
