Lovely, and almost as if the clouds are being reflected. The sky is ominous, intense. I would try punching up the colors of the foreground a bit, and lighten the horizon at left near the mountains, as well as a little of sky in that area. An amazing piece of nature nicely captured. |

A very sweet image, a beautiful pair, and as if Agatha is thinking about their conversation! I think Agatha was amazingly still for you to get this. Your edits are very nice and emphasize the ring of flowers (you might consider adding even more of them). I hadn't noticed the need for separating the back of the dog and jeans, but I agree it would benefit the image. Making the jeans lighter is a good solution. I don't like cutting off parts, but I a closeup draws more emphasis to the faces if that's preferred. If you crop, I would crop into the blue of the jeans.

Perfect symmetry, and great colors. Lovely glistening tiles. I don't see changes, unless the flooring in foreground (blacks) could be saturated more and the highlights adjusted down a bit there. As is, it's a great architectural image and leans nicely toward abstract. |

Great vivid colors in rain. The painterly effect is nice, and I might test out other effects over it to enhance the distortion. The bold colors through wetness really make the image. Nice! |

The basalt formations are fascnating and offer endless opporunities for photos. Both BW and color are great improvements over the original. I prefer the color because of the lighting, but the stronger image is the BW. From a distance the rising formations remind me of buildings in a cityscape. You have nice leading lines, almost stairsteps, and edits draw out great textures in the stones. I don't see improvements, unless you can enhance the area of natural lighting across the stones-- stairsteps up, across (as in the color). |

Margaret, take a look at PSA's PID Individual Creative Competitions. Lots of 'altered reality' :-) |

Janet, I am not familiar with the 1st generation iphone, but I assume it may not be able to hold alot of apps. You could add editing apps of your choice to another device (desktop, tablet, laptop) and move photos from your phone to the device and then edit them. One idea-- |

Thanks, Pat, I appreciate your help. I was simply fooling with the phone, like you, to see what, if anything, I could get through windows (and yes, mostly icky windows). |

Your Yard Art is great fun. How are you able to get so low and close before things hop? Your edits really brought out great details in the frog and muddy habitat, and it all looks very natural. I would test lightening or darkening a sliver of the mud area around the frog's head and under the mouth to give more of a separation there (so the head stands out from the background). The Snapseed 'selective tool' might work for that. Nice job on this hopper! |

This makes me look, look again, study and wonder. There's great intrigue. I would punch up the colors some because of the reds and the textures in the stone building. Also, I would crop down through the column on the right to exclude the piece of window and green awning. The focus then goes directly to the faces and not away. Very nice! |

Awesome! Congrats on your ribbon! This is an impressive image from a thick airplane window. Wonderful skyline. All your edits seemed so easy and simply worked. It's a wonderful improvement over the original. I especially like the small island at right. Turned, it is heartshaped and might make yet another interesting image to play with! |

This reflects your wonderful creativity. It is a work of art via smartphone which is what I love about the phone/apps. I've been there many times with so many edits, changes, backing up, it seems I'm a little crazy. One of my last creations is way off the wall -- from an avacado seed in water to a waterfall. So your image makes perfect sense to me! I like to believe 'progress isn't linear'. Art resulting from smartphone photography is progress, in my opinion. I love the image. |

Fantastic image. Love the tracks and the cars curving so close the building. I don't know how you achieved this without people in the scene. As is, I feel like it needs straightening at the bottom and the small piece removed from upper left corner. I, personally, would test even more contrasts and punch up the colors (to get grunge in the track bed), and I might try a mono version. Try the perspective tool in Snapseed for correcting the angle of the building. It's great, and needs a place on your wall. |
