In response to Jose's comment re: nature competitions, I participated in PSA's nature group a few years ago, and at that time no alterations like cloning were allowed. It is so near perfect, certainly worthy of competition in my opinion. |

Thanks! I gave some thought to it. It's hard to know exactly the best crop, but I think you're right that it lends itself to a few options, even as an abstract. |

I think this is a magnificent record shot of the Elk. What an incredible animal to see. I feel that as a nature shot you gave the animal plenty of space in front, and you got the catchlight in the eye. No suggestions for improving. Nice. |

In your original, I love the textures you pulled from the leaves on the ground. I agree with Mervyn that increasing saturation makes the difference. The image really pops now. The only other thing I would test is flipping it so the angle viewed is left/right. Very nice last gasp and such pretty tree trunks. |

Ohhh, fantastic! Very creative. You created a fiery look. It's lovely, and I see nothing to correct. It is a tiny bit bright on the left, but perhaps the vignette Bob suggested will fix that. Merry Christmas to you! Happy creating :-) |

I am lost when you talk about stacking, but I understand the technique. I have never tried it. Everything you did seems near perfection. Nice panorama! Very interesting building, colorfully lit. I might sharpen it and that's all. I feel like so many light rays cause some softness. If it's possible to sharpen without overdoing it, everything might'pop' to make it even more outstanding. |

Images of the slot canyons are mesmerizing. What a wonderful capture! I don't see how this could be better. I think you hit the nail on the head. Nice! |

This place draws you back again and again. I always love seeing your images from this farm. So much snow! We've had ice, not much else. Getting rid of the small shadow is helpful. For some reason I keep going back to your original because of the smooth, soft textures in the snow. I like your final version for brightening, especially the sky, but I think I prefer the original for the natural textures. |
