26 Sep 18 Comment You achieved what you intended. I think 'simple and pretty' is now elegant. The stamens truly are in a nest and sheltered by the petals. My eye goes straight to the stamens and away from the soft foreground petals. On my monitor, the stamens seem a little sharp, and I would soften them slightly. Looking around the image, I like the subtle blues that show through the petals and follow around the edges of the image. Very nice! Sep 15th
26 Sep 18 Reply Guy, thank you for the kind critique. The blossom had fallen off my mom's the plant and was a bit wilted. It's an unusual plant. I love them. I wondered how I might photograph it with the phone. Results of the single blossom weren't interesting. I had fun trying different tools in Snapseed, and the final image resulted. For a single blossom with your DSLR, you might try hanging it or propping it up against a neat background of some kind, maybe use a flashlight on it for interesting effect and zoom in close. I think you could get a nice image. Thanks again! Sep 14th
26 Sep 18 Comment I know exactly what you mean! Sep 8th

26 Sep 18 Reply Snapseed really is amazing. Here's the first few steps. Sorry the thumbnails are so large. Sep 7th
26 Sep 18 Reply You're very kind. I'm still not sure I really like it LoL. It's certainly not the delicate flower it started out as, but it was fun. Sep 7th
26 Sep 18 Comment I see exactly why you were drawn to this, and I like the effect with BW. It's a little busy for me. I wonder about a color version and if (in either version) it might be possible to isolate the diagonal stairway and shadow more, drawing the eye to it. Sep 6th
26 Sep 18 Comment It is so neat! Love the results. It's very clever and creative. I see no changes needed. It's alot of fun looking at this and wondering what it is. Sep 6th
26 Sep 18 Comment Beautiful colors and soft light. Very painterly. Can't think of the name, but reminds me of a particular artist. No one would ever know the gondola was cloned. Very nice! Sep 6th
26 Sep 18 Comment I like this alot and wouldn't give up. Here's 1 idea flipped, adjusted to draw the eye toward a triangular area: leaves, chrome, rust. May be darker than you like. Sep 6th

53 Sep 18 Comment Good call on the sunlight! I kept looking at it on the path but didn't think of adding a ray. I'd say either horse or turkey, not both. A flock of turkeys in and out of weeds, pecking around maybe... I love the coloring you chose. Sep 23rd
53 Sep 18 Reply LoL my moxie's just crazy. Thank you! Sep 15th
53 Sep 18 Comment Hi, an idea...I couldn't find a natural focal point, so I tried to create a meandering path and give it a painterly, old look. Snapseed: cropped, flipped, double exposed, healed some spots, used a bright vignette and a slight glow, and frame (I'm from Group26). Thanks for the opportunity-- was fun! Sep 15th
