Thanks, Bob. I will try both ways. I agree they draw unwanted attention. |

Lovely composition with reflections. Maybe you are trying to keep too much in the scene ? The clouds are great but they aren’t the main focus so I don’t think you need to
keep as much of them. I would consider cropping just below the leaves at top right. The distant mountains could use a little more clarity even though they are far away. To me, the trees and creek bed would be better softer. I would remove the rocks at bottom right and the small black line (stick?) 1/3 way up in the water. I think this image also might be impressive in B/W. |

Whoa! That’s a little dizzying. It is impressive that you captured this without people. I love the practically mirror image reflecting in the wetness. B&W is a great choice and works very well for this old architecture. I have no experience with dodging/burning but wonder if applying a vignette might work to draw the eye more toward the mid-area. |

There are so many interesting things to see in this image. The blue door catches my eye first, and then the people. I love the different architectural metals and peeling paint, but because the action is with the people, I would crop the left side. I don’t think you gain anything by keeping the space with the arrow sign. I’d crop right between it and the building. I think Bob’s right about the upper balcony. I realize this is a true street scene, but it might be fun to “insert” a person or animal (cat?) on the balcony. |

A good sport and perfect model :) I do not see any changes needed. To me, it’s great as is. It’s simple, but less is more in this scene. You captured great detail in the bird “ the feathers and tiny eye-ring. I like all your adjustments, especially shoving the waves out of focus to draw attention to the bird. |

I like your adjustments, and the brightly colored leaves are nice against the snow. Water drops are a favorite of mine. To me, an overall softening would be better “ reducing clarity and/or lighting. The snow seems harsh in places and the glow around the leaf edges looks unnatural to me. The veins of the large leaf act as nice lead-ins; yet, I think this might work as a vertical, too, if you can gain space under the stem. Back-and-forth on that because vertically turns it into more of a record image as opposed to a casual, fallen leaf. |
