I don't care for the border either. It rather 'cheapens' it. It was the best selection in this edit program to cover some things around the edges since they had no vignette options. I'm about ready to give Lightroom a try and then I can dump the quick-fix program. |

:) I know the feeling! I don't function properly until after about the 3rd cup lol. Thank you-- |

Thank you, Mervyn. It's one of those 'different strokes for different folks' things :) |

Another nice vista, and the colors do glow. I love the layers of mountains leading to the distant snow-capped ones. I might only reduce the highlights a little in the water, and Bob’s suggestions might be all you need; however, I wonder, if you need to keep the small road to the left – perhaps remove it or make a small crop. |

I believe so, Bob. You use a slider for paint effect. I left it this way but there may be a way to reduce the artifacts. I need to go back and check. LR most likely offers better options, as do software programs specifically for painting. Something to consider-- |

Nice sweeping vista. I like the swirling effect as your eye is led through the image. All the efforts paid off. It’s much more impressive to me in B/W. The only area I might alter is the darker cloud at the top. The darker clouds seem to work better together in your color version, but in B/W I would lighten the dark cloud nearest the top or replace it by cloning some of those just beneath it. |

This is a nice action shot and everything about the girl is great, although I wonder if you could pull her down from the top a little more. If the shore is behind her, you might not be able to do that. The churning water gives an almost overly- sharp, unnatural appearance to me, so I would reduce highlights to soften the water’s appearance slightly. |

Interesting about keeping the streets clean! I think this works very well in B/W. You created nice motion. I don’t see what the distractions could have been, so you did a great job of hiding them. I only wish the driver's head/face were a little more in focus. |

A nice shot from under the rope, lots of detail and very colorful. I love the emotion captured in the face. The tiniest odd thing for me is the band-aid. Not sure why but I lean toward removing it (without it you might achieve a more authentic/traditional image). The Piscataway Indians hold a pow-wow near me annually, but I did not realize photos were allowed. Now that you shared the possibility, I will make a point of going next year. |

Putting a piece of paper over the green to envision the image without it, I find it’s ok but leaves quite a lot of negative space. If you keep it, I would add to it curving up to the left. One of my favorite birds, and a really nice shot all-around – catch light and great details. |
