Mary Ann, a few months ago I had some issues with my two screens. Images on one always looked darker than on the other and I never knew which was correct. I bought Calibrate Display 123. Fairly easy to use and got both calibrated correctly. |

Mary Ann, nice shot of a beautiful flower. Good work getting it before the storm. I agree with Ruth that the image appears a bit dark on my monitor. A bit of exposure adjustment and perhaps a vignette would help. The details on the front flower are so good. Nice work. |

Kieu-Hanh, very nice composition. Good leading lines and the little splashes of color really highlight the white. Overhead wires can be problematic in street scenes but yours luckily managed to go behind the buildings and are not distracting. Nice shot. |

Ruth, do I assume correctly that the original photo is the one called "Original 2"? If so I like the crop in the larger photo (not called "Original"). The expanse of white highlights the isolation of the group of trees. B&W is definitely the way to go with this photo. And I join the chorus of kudos for doing this handheld. Well done. |

Thanks Ruth. That is a good suggestion to repeat things. I'll try and do that. I have been doing more night photography lately. It's been a lot of fun and a good challenge. Thanks again. |

Robert, good job both building the cairn and then photographing it. Your cropping and editing really put the cairn in the center without the distractions. Nice job filling in on both ends of the middle piece. |

Cindy, you did a nice job with color adjustment and crop of both photos. The cropping really made the car and the horse (and the guys with them) the focal point of the photo. The colors on the tree are really nice. Well done. |

Kieu-Hanh, thanks for your comments and suggestions. I did this a few months ago and when I went back to try your suggestions I could not even replicate what I submitted. I am now not sure how I did this. The Radial Blur does not produce the same effect and I tried several other effects and could not get there. I had saved my PSDS file but unlike Lightroom, PS does not store the entire history, just the levels. Maybe I should take notes when I do a lot of manipulating. Thanks again. |
