3 Dec 25 Reply Thanks for nice comments and the suggestion. I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. Dec 22nd
3 Dec 25 Reply Thanks Mary Ann. Dec 22nd
3 Dec 25 Reply Nicely done. It didn't occur to me to do a custom crop. Dec 22nd

3 Dec 25 Comment Nice composition and interesting subject. I am fine with your composition. The two trees, one in the middle and one on the right take away from your overall composition. In Lightroom I eliminated both and took the liberty of toning down the greens in the foreground as suggested by Robert. What do you think? Dec 12th
3 Dec 25 Comment I agree with Robert and Joan. Your cropping was perfect. You eliminated all the distractions so the gourd can be the sole point of focus. Your adjustments to lighting were also spot on. Nice job. Dec 12th
3 Dec 25 Comment Nice shot Joan. The composition is good with a beautiful sky and good details. I have no suggestions. Dec 12th
3 Dec 25 Reply Thanks for the suggestion. When I tried to crop in more I lost a lot of the houses on the right. The bottom also then looks a bit flat. How is this for a compromise? Dec 12th
3 Dec 25 Comment Ruth, clueless is right. And obviously not a photographer or he would have been taking a photo of the bison to his right. Great shot. I like your cropping. It isolates his recklessness rather than the group. I assume from the 400mm focal length that you were significantly farther away. :-) Dec 4th

3 Dec 25 Comment Robert, when I first saw the photo I knew it was Venice and I thought you had intentionally made the canal portion "artsy" to create a whimsical photo. Sort of Venice on a canvas. After reading your comments, I think you did a nice job resurrecting the photo. It is a great composition and using the watercolor filter did the job for me. Dec 4th
3 Dec 25 Reply Thanks for the comments Joan. The following day I went back during blue hour and took more shots during blue hour. I wavered between which one to submit this one and thought the night version was a bit sharper. I am attaching that now. I should have done that with original posting. What do you think? Dec 4th
