Joan, thanks for your comments. I didn't see any kids riding sheep, but there were lots of kids showing of their animals. I had a great time. |

Thanks for your comments, especially about lighting. It was a real challenge. Interesting that you mention the lack of detail in the wool in the background. One reason I liked this photo was that very difference. It is because the yarn in the back is unspun raw colored wool and the ones in the foreground are spun skeins. The lighting on that top row was very bright and I had to tone it down. Perhaps the bright lighting up there bleached out any possibility of detail in the unspun wool. |

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate your suggestion to crop out the left side. I thought about it but it would have required cutting off the table and I would lose the sense of depth from showing the whole shelf. But I can see how you would prefer it that way. I do not know why there are jars the look like they have honey on the table. Possibly the owner of the stall also makes and sells honey. Nice pick-up. I had not noticed those. |

Joan, I think the revised version you did is better. The colors are sharper and the contract greater. I like that you shot the scene tightly. Very nice job. |

Mary Ann, this is a beautiful fall composition. The cabin is perfectly placed and the colors of the trees contrast well with the bald mountain. You did well in post-processing to bring out the thread of yellow at the base of the mountain. Well done. |

Kieu-Hanh, your photo tells a complete story. It is undoubtedly a coal miner and that is undoubtedly coal he is pointing to. The lighting is excellent and the photo well-composed. Well done. |

Ruth, this is a beautiful image. I would not change anything you did. The whole breath of the scene is wonderful. Of course, the waterfall is the central character, but the reflections, not just of the waterfall but the grasses and the branches and the rocks, give it heft and symmetry. I think the falling branch on the left gives it some balance - another white vertical line. I really love the variety of colors - greens, browns, and yellows. Very nicely done. |

Robert, what a moment of luck to be in Tuscany and have a balloon flying by the beautiful countryside. Nice shot given the distance and the limitations of a camera, albeit a good phone camera. I agree with the comments about the background being a bit washed out, but had a different suggestion. I blurred the background in Lightroom, and cropped it down a bit to make the balloon more the focus of the photo. What do you think? |
