Thanks Kieu-Hanh. Midnight sun is right. Very few hours of any shade of dark. Warm weather not. Temperatures usually in the high 40s to mid 50s and rained almost every day, although never so bad to prevent being outdoors. Reflection of the clouds would have been good, but alas not enough sunlight. Thanks again. |

Thanks Mary Ann. Cloudy skies were always there. The more I work ln photos from that trip I realize that there are few with a bright sky. Thanks again. |

Thanks Robert. I think your edits work well, especially darkening the sky. Thanks. |

Joan, good shot of the kitten's face, big eyes, and pointy hair. I'm not sure how much processing is required for submission to the group, but eliminating the glare spots and the letters on the bottom right, and softening the background would have made the photo better. Cute cat and cute photo. |

Mary Ann, I agree with Ruth that your merging of images seems to have worked. There is detail in the snow in the mountains and the reflection of the mountain in the water is an excellent touch. Leaving in some of the people was a good decision. Well done, both shooting and processing. |

Kieu-Hahn, very nice capture of the vibrant colors of the houses with the mountains in the background. Only processing suggestion would be to eliminate the block with the blue line and an object on top of it on the top right. I am not troubled by the negative space on the left. I think it gives the location some perspective and allows the longer leading lines of the clouds to bring the eye towards the houses. I really like the reflection at the bottom right, which appears to be of a house that is not in the photo. |

Ruth, this is a beautiful photo. Your crop really focuses on the flower. The darkening of the background and the sharpening of the center really make the flower pop. Really well done. Andres |

Thanks for your comments Ruth. I like your idea of bumping up exposure in Lightroom. I did darken the sky a small bit in Lightroom, because I felt the original sky was too bright. But lightening exposure for the rest would have helped. It was a cloudy day and rained a good deal that day. I am using AUTO ISO but you've given me the idea to check what AUTO is doing on a cloudy day and perhaps adjust. Thanks again. |
