Thanks for your comments Michael. I did the blur using a blur filter with a gradient. But I agree that the gradient did not go far enough and it looks too sharp and unnatural. I simply did not notice that, and that's on me. Attached is a revised photo with, what I hope, is a better gradient. |

I've never tried ICM but you and Michael are inspiring me to try it. But not knowing the elements of the technique, allows me just to see it as it is. And I really like it. The vertical lines appear like rays of light and the detail of the leaves at the bottom seems perfect. I agree with Michael and Ruth, that liking a photo, to me, is more important than judges in competitions. |

Terrific capture Robert. Your cropping eliminated a lot of distractions and puts the focus directly on the subject. Good work with sharpening the subject as well. Well done. |

What a beautiful composition and such a creative technique. The transformation from the original is remarkable, specially brightening the flowers. The variations of the ice in the background lends depth. Great work. |

Kieu-Hanh, what a gorgeous shot. The composition is perfect. The whole effect is magical. And the absence of people in such a scene is wonderful. Well done. |

Beautiful image Michael. The light, the color, the sky, the balloon. All perfect. I really like the sense of how high up you must have been because the trees in the foreground are so small. |
