Thanks Michael. I am taking a PSA class on Photoshop and the subject of my last lesson was using blur to create the impression of motion. You beat me to it and did a nice job. Thanks. |

Thanks Kieu-Hanh. I tried a couple of rotations in PS but didn't fins anything that looked good. Perhaps I don't know how to do what you are suggesting. Are you suggesting a rotation that would have to lights pointing upwards? |

Mary Ann, I can imagine how patient you must need to be to wait until they all decide to fly at same time. That you were able to get it extending to 600mm on your less is impressive. But that may be why I have a little problem with the lack of detail in the flying birds and the softness of the swimming birds. Given the distance and circumstances you got a good shot. |

Nice shot of the elephants and the scenery. I agree with Ruth about the crop. The colors are really great. Showing the elephants from behind allows the eye to go to the path they are taking from the bottom of the photo to the middle. Nicely done. |

Ruth, you seem to have a knack for capturing solitary people in beautiful landscapes. You did a great job in your conversion to monochrome. I also am not troubled at all by the dark trees. They are so much sharper and clearer than in the original. Wonderful shot. |

Joan, very nice work on what was an original that was, as you say, drab. The lack of color would have sent me to do something monochrome, but you really did a great job poppping the colors. Good thinking. |

Robert, what a great shot. Especially the apparent interaction between the bird in the air and the bird seemingly squawking at it from the bird bath. Your crop is good and made the focus of the photo the birds and the bath. Well done. |

Michael, certainly got a smile from. The dog posture appears as if it actually understands the sign and sad about it. The kid in the ad is looking in same direction and his joy is a great contrast to the dog. Nice shot.
Question - as this group is general photography, would it have been an option for you to make additional adjustments (not allowed in street photography) for submission in this group? Or was it just your personal decision to adhere to the protocol for street photography? I'm curious. |
