3 Jan 25 Reply Michael, my initial inability to find artistic filters in Photoshop led me to sign up for a PSA class on Photoshop. Coincidentally, the first lesson included an exercise in using the Artistic Filters. So many options, but I liked this one. Thanks for the nudge and encouragement. Jan 29th
3 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Robert. This was part of a sliding door with four panels so replacing the door would have been way more. :-) I'm using this as a learning opportunity to make it a background in a composite. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Reply Thanks MaryAnn. SAs I mentioned to Ruth I am not adept at making composites but will use this opportunity to learn. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Ruth. I am not adept yet at making composite photos but will keep trying. But certainly thanks for the suggestion. I had not thought of that. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Joan. I'm glad you enjoyed the series. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Reply Thanks for your help with classification and your comments on the photos. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Michael. I took your suggestion to convert to monochrome and played with the contrast. Had less success with the Artistic Filters but will keep trying. Thanks again. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Comment Although the lighthouse is the focal point the whole photo is a great compositon. So many contrasts - the red against the gray, the small against the huge. Thanks for the story. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Comment Wonderful capture of a bright full mooon. I understand the others' comments about the dark foreground but am not bothered much by it. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Comment Great shot. Perfect leading lines and great color. I always enjoy perspectives of well-known landmarks from different perspectives. Nice job. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Comment What a great photo you have created. It is perfect in monochrome. In particular your processing has brought out the trees in the foreground replacing what was distracting light. Beautiful. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Comment Beautiful shot. It is so clear and you did a really nice job with the cropping. Well done. Jan 19th
3 Jan 25 Comment Thank you for the photo series and the link. Really interesting. Knowing the backs story of the area helps understand the photos. I am not bothered at all by the color/mono combination photo or by combining color and mono in one series. These are powerful and stunning in either format. Well done. Jan 19th
