Robert, I tried Lens Blur in Lightroom but it also blurred the horns. I tried using a mask but needed more refinement than I know how to do at this point. But good exercises for me. Thanks again. |

I too really liked the original as a composition. But both seem a bit out of focus. I've never worked with slides but it must be interesting to use new processing technologies on slides. |

Great landscape shot and the addition of the hiker is wonderful. Good thing he was not wearing a brown jacket! Your cropping was spot on as it both centered the hiker to draw in the eye, but by cropping on top and on left you made the flat part of the landscape between the hills more prominent. Well done. |

Beautiful photo Robert. I agree with Michael about the imbalance in the intensity of the colors between the land and the sky and water. In bringing the land parts out of the shadows, the trees lost some detail and texture. But the details of the boathouse make up for that as the eye goes right there. I also like how you got the reflection of the tree on the left so nicely in the water as well. |

I'm late to the comments and cannot add much to what the others have said. Beautiful photo and your enhancement of the eyes really make it. I originally thought you might have cropped too much, but after coming back several times i think you hit it on the nose. |
