Thank you everyone for your comments! I will play a bit with the cropping. I do like the two flowers in the image, so maybe I will settle on two different crops. I really appreciate this group and the feedback given. |

Pat,
Beautiful textures and colors! You did an excellent job with the focus staking. I have yet to try that technique. I try to keep my post production to very little. Mostly, because I'm already on the computer way too many hours due to my day job of higher ed teaching. However, you've inspired me to give it a go. If this image were mine, I'd be proud. I might backoff on the vignette just a bit. |

Stuart,
What is the trick with using extension tubes? Do you have to physically move closer or further away from the subject to get a good focus? I recently bought a couple of them, but have yet to have good results. It seems like it should be a no brainer. What could I be missing? |

Gloria,
In all honesty, when I first saw your image in small form with all the other images on the Group 95 board, I thought, Oh Lord, not another Iris. Then I clicked on it to see the larger view and said, "Wow! That's not just another Iris!" What beautiful detail and color. |

Margaret,
As usual, I love your image. At first glance, when it was displayed on the clipboard with all the other images, I thought it was a shot of fireworks. What do you use to keep your subject in place? I've tried using a devise that is used for creating fishing flies but the opening on the grip os so small. |
