We have local GHOs in our area and the challenge is alway all the twigs and beaches in the way. You did a great job getting the viewer to focus on the owl. I don't think that you over did the brightening. My eye is focused on the owl grooming itself.
You might be interested in Paul Bannick's work. He is a talented birder and nature photographer. I have his book on Owls (published 2016) and his just released book on Woodpeckers which includes beautiful images on every page. Astonishing work |

Good ideas. I finally have moved my LR and photopshop to a computer that has an operation system that can handle the new software. Making the adjustments was a snap. I guess a 10 year old computer is just too old :- ) |

I can almost hear the surf hitting the shore. Consider softening or blurring the rock on the bottom edge of the image to keep our eyes on the 'action area' of the waves coming into the rocky shore. |

Red-shoulders are certainly a lovely bird. I find this image interesting but I agree with others, it looks like the re-shoulder hawk is over defined and lightened too much. You are on the path to a really great image, well worth a few small adjustments. |

Another beautiful landscape image Pamela. There are good comments from both Mike and Sharon, I can only add that the black forest on the lower bottom and left-side could be lightened to see some definition of the trees. |

Wonderful capture Sharon! I love the eye of the penguin that looks like he is checking you out. I like Mike's alterations that decrease the light in the background which bring out the penguin. How deep in the water is the penguin? Can you allow the viewer to see where the water surface is? It looks like he/she is aiming upward. This image is great fun! |
