Great image, it looks like a primitive, unspoiled swamp forest. I'm fascinated by the lily pad and leaves floating at the base of the tree. The reflections of the trees in the background add to the mystery of the image. One little nitpick is the light on the partial trunk on the left could be diminished a touch. But then again, it shows the direction that the light is coming from, so maybe not. |

Personally, I like the pastel, soft colors and the soft, blurry light in the upper and lower left-side corners. My only suggestion is to tone down the upper right corner area so the eye will stay on the pink and yellow center. I think that you have achieved a graceful and artistic image.

This is a lovely, calm image. You could consider cropping up from the bottom to about half of the exposed sand. Then there are the gradations of tan, blue, white and darker blue, and sky blue. It looks like a painting that takes my eye out to sea. Tom's suggestion of increasing the contrast or vibrance a touch is worth a look. Either way, very nice image. |

This image made me laugh, this is a fun nature story. I think that the pelicans are exposed just right. I agree with the others that the foliage at the top is unnecessary. I have never seen American and Brown pelicans side by side, this is an good nature story for several reasons. |

What a beautiful image. Is fog rising in the center section? For me it gives the scene movement. I was trying to see what the others are calling flat, is it the dark forested area? You might consider a bit of light and contrast in that area, but I like it as it is. This is an image to hang on the wall. |

It looks like angel wings on the egret, perfect for December. You captured a beautiful moment. I see where the green foliage in the background is out of the focal plane that others have mentioned, but it does provide depth of field information. Without the background foliage the eye is more focused on the bird taking off. I think that it is more dramatic without the blurry branches. You could consider decreasing the sky exposure a touch to contrast with the beautiful color of the bird. |
