Thank you, these are good suggestions. I will reworked the exposure and add contrast to the sand. The whole image here looks yellowish to me. I think that I should start from scratch. |

I also love this image. Brilliant job handling the whites and bringing out the detail in the water splash, both behind the swan's head and in front of the bird. Your orientation of the bird is just right, my eye moves left to right, from the splash to the beak and eye. I'm with Judith, this is a bit of Swan Lake. It could be a book cover! |

I enjoy the green foliage framing the green eye. This is a very unique view and image of the bird. Since I focus on the startling green eye, I wonder if you need so much of the wing on the right side of the image? Cropping in on the right, but keeping the wing curve might provide a tighter focus on the eye (am I obsessing on the wonderful green eye?). Just a thought, I see that you already cropped much of the wing. Great image. |

I enjoy the look in the hawk's eye and the silly little feathers on the top on its head. It likely a juvenile. You might consider dodging around the right side of the upper chest region as others have suggested. I think that you captured a great expression, well done. |

What a great image, I love the warm light on the left side of the top bird's head and back, so beautiful. Consider just adding some exposure to the bird on the right and leaving the bird on the left as is and see what you think. Well done. |

Welcome to #52 Tom! Excellent action image with a good eye. You have inspired me to learn about Sirens. The only comment I have is consider applying Denoise to the background, it looks a bit pixilated on my screen. |

I love this image, great capture of the GBH with salamander. Personally, I like seeing the entire bird, I think that GBHs are beautiful and the blue water and dried grasses enhance the plumage colors. I like seeing the canal and foliage around the bird, it gives the image context. The only suggestion I have is to decrease/remove the bright green leaves, lower right. I find them a bit distracting. Sharon's suggestion of a portrait orientation would also work well. |
