Thank you all for your very helpful suggestions. You often point out things I don't initially see. Happy holidays and happy New Year! |

Great suggestions. I do use the back button auto focus and Topaz sharpening but I really should use a mono or tripod. I will continue to attempt to get a sharper image. |

This is a very nice image, it could be published. I like the light on his/her dorsal crest. For me, the colors are what makes this image so pleasing. A tiny nip pick is to remove the upper branch coming in from the right side. The might simplify the branches. Reptiles are hard to capture, this is very well done. |

Your Great blue heron is doing a public service removing that non-native goldfish. This is a photograph with a fun story and your timing was perfect in capturing it. I like Mike's suggestions, really makes the bird and fish colors pop. You might consider a vertical crop with less of the bird's back so one can focus on the neck, bill and fish. Just a thought. Really fun image! |

I enjoy the gradations of colors in this landscape, you are lucky to live in such a beautiful place. The clouds in the sky enhance the image too. To my eye, this looks sharp. This is a lovely landscape. |

Ah, your warblers are having words! Great timing to capture the open wings and catchlight in the eyes. Consider cropping the empty space on the left and some of the log to focus the view in on the birds. The background is a touch saturated with yellow/orange, you might select the background and decrease saturation. This image is a lot of fun. |

Wonderful capture of a behavior. Seeing the mother's tongue licking the calf is perfect, and you also have catchlight. I agree that a tighter crop is better, but consider including the mother's whole head and some neck. I really like this image, well done. |

This is a lovely photograph. I love the way you brought out the barnacles on the rock, great texture. I also enjoy the pastel color palette. The whitish area above the rock has a nice V pattern pointing towards the image center. You might consider enhancing this a bit, I think it gives nice movement to the image. The horizon looks perfect to me. The wave also provides movement in the image. I am on the fence about the little piece of driftwood in the foreground, does it take away from the rock and its shadow? |

Thank you Mike, I will work on the background, it is distracting. I looked up the species of the catfish and it is a Black Bulhead. This species is not native to my state and likely was planted here for fishing. |
