52 Oct 24 Comment Well done Ann! Your woodpecker is a wonderful image! Oct 19th
52 Oct 24 Comment I am so engaged by the hummingbird that I haven't considered the flower stems and leaves as consequential. Hummingbirds are so challenging to photograph, you did well to capture such definition on the bird's head. What might be fun is to bring out the beak within the flower. It may enhance the story of the bird collecting nectar and pollenating the flower. Could you burn the beak a touch? Oct 16th
52 Oct 24 Comment This is such a fun image, this could be a motivational poster. If you didn't tell us that the foot was transformed I would not have guessed. For me, it's all about the frog legs and the heron's bright eyes. The back of the bird is a bit soft but it doesn't bother me. The only thing that confuses me is what is the bone-like thing coming out of the tip of the beak? You might consider removing it. Oct 16th
52 Oct 24 Comment I love the way you see things that I would miss. You might consider cropping down more. The downey edge of the feather might benefit with a little darkening. Sharon's suggestion of applying a water color effect is a fun idea. This is another lovely image. I have a ball-head from Really Right Stuff (BH-55 Pro), RRS tripod and a Canon mount adapter. It is a heavy setup to carry, but very stable. I mostly handhold my camera now. Oct 16th
52 Oct 24 Comment What a great capture! Wonderful focus, eye light, and, you got the full beak before it was back in the grass (I have a thousand shots of birds with their beaks tucked in the foliage). I agree with Mike's suggestion of darkening the background. Very nice timing to capture the neck curvature. Oct 16th
52 Oct 24 Comment The white tree trunks of the aspens are so engaging. My eye travels across the lower tree ridge to the upper tree ridge. This is a lovely image with gorgeous colors. The only minor suggestion I have is to consider slightly darken the lower right corner. Oct 16th
