How fun would it be if the fox has a den with pups in your yard? And I see that you have bird boxes too! Wonderful! By all means, use your 100-500mm and be patient. You have a great place to practice. The foxes in my area are most active very early in the morning. Increase your shutter speed above 1/1600 sec, steady your camera, and be ready for your backyard critters to entertain you. |

Very nice capture! To see the entire beak just in front of the flower requires perfect timing. On my screen the background is a bit pixilated. A softer, less saturated image might be nice too. Whatever you choose, this is a very good and enjoyable image. |

The bison does look like he is ready to challenge any and all. Very nice story and capture. To my eye, there seems to be a lightening effect from his face against the tree. Perhaps a bit of blending or darkening the highlighted edge fringe on the tree trunk by the bison's head, would be beneficial. With or without any changes, this is a great image. |

I love this image. Burrowing owls are under serious pressure and getting harding and harder to find in my area. The owl taking flight is, for me, the most beautiful aspect of this image. Consider cropping it down to inside the posts and removing the cables and see what you think. This image is so lovely, well done. |

The is a very fun image. The Cockatoo does look like a nosy neighbor. Your title is very cute, this image is perfect as is. |

This is a wonderful image. I agree with Mike that a touch of vignetting might focus the eye on the butterfly a bit more. The unopened bud are bit distracting (not a huge issue). What does it look like without the buds or if they are burned, as Mike suggests? This is a lovely image, I wish there were Zebra Swallowtails in my area. |

Thank you Mike. The shot was taken on a hillside and the prospective is accurate. The wind blows in from the ocean, west to east and the Harrier is taking off into the wind. That said, I will try to balance the horizon a bit and see what happens. I totally agree with you that a higher speed would have been preferable. Many thanks for your comments. Does the eye not look sharp to you? |
