Thank you Ally. Some judges take exception to the vertical cattails in front of the bird but that was the best view for me. |

Thank for your comments. I will try adding a bit of warmth back.
I must have done something silly sending in the photos, sorry that it causes you problems. I'll do better next time. |

Thank you for your comments, always appreciated. In Sibley's the bird does have grey-blue feathers, and this Sora was in his/her's breeding finery. The golden light looked hot to me and I tried to temper it down, but I will try to warm the photo up some. It might be better. |

The focus looks soft to me but the image is tack-sharp. I must have made a mistake when submitting it. |

This is so pretty. I love the droplet with the reflection. I actually love the entire image. It has lovely curves and movement, and the color is just right. Well done! |

I also enjoy this peaceful image. You captured a beautiful cloud-scape too. That is where my eye is drawn. You could consider increasing contrast in the sky just a touch and see if you like it. The warm tones of the beach and log in the foreground are a nice balance to the coolness of the ocean and sky. |

To me, the bird looks like he is considering what's for breakfast. Nice sharp focus from beak to tail and lovely detail in the feathers. The diagonal branch in the image is pleasing. Depending on your plans for this image, adding a touch of light to his eye or a bit of catchlight would be nice. |

How wonderful that the bison chose to line up perfectly for you. One is even looking into the lens! This is a great nature image. I agree with Judith and Ann that the tree truck on the left could be cropped out. The tree truck behind the bison might be darkened. In my regional nature image competitions, the trunk behind the bison can't be removed because it is part of the scene. You might consider lifting the shadows, just a touch, around the bison's chest and legs. You handled the snow so well, great image. |

Another beautiful image. I enjoy the rock face on the left with all the mosses and lichens. This image is a lovely balance of waterfall, river rocks and forest. To my eye, the image has movement and life. It is perfect just as it is. |
