Michael, apart from the mere beauty of the picture I in particular like your link to the history of the German Wall. Very well done! |

Hi Chris a very beautiful street scene!I like not only the leading lines to the main topic but also the very nice clouds in the sky.
PS. The Tower is "Schwabentor". The local people are called Schwaben (with a w) wheras Schabe is the German word for cockroach :-) |

Mark, in my street photography I often look for the contrast between the static of the structures and the dynamic of people or animals. Your picture did is in a great way. Well done.

Emil - what a beautiful picture. Some years ago I tried over many months to capture fog on analog bw film. The results had been sobering. Your picture encourages me to try it again digitally this winter.
Personally I liked a lot the wooden poles, the mist and the tranquility of the sea. I found that the concrete on the left didnt add value and removed it: what do you think? |

What a very beautiful picture - I love it.
The distance between the birds, their arrangement in the picture, the different wings - as Emil said: your persistence paid off.
I wondered why the bird on the top left has a different head and beak than the others.
Well done!

Hi Pete - this sounds like a great experience. I like a lot how you captured mother and child.
I was a bit distracted by the prominent bear on the childs pijama which seems out of focus and recropped.
I am travelling and have no access to LR. Otherwise I would have tried in addition to darken the background a bit less as you did, so that it is not completely dark, but slightly structured. This might look more natural. |

Thanks Pete, your version is great as it gives even more focus on the main theme. |

Many thanks Michael - I moved from 35 mm to 6x6cm in analogue times due to the potential to enlarge prints. I am very happy that the Hasselblad Digital Medium Format has transferred this to the current age and I therefore can well live with the downsides of the camera (slow Autofocus, heavy weight, price tag).
I like your adjustments - thanks for them |
