Hi Israel
Another brilliant portrait. Apart from echoing what the others said, I in particular liked the choice of depth of field. The background is well recognizable but not distracting from the main subject.
Very well done. All the best and take care, Adrian |

Hi Chris
A very very beautiful picture which remind me of Immogen Cummingham's work.
I read the discussion around the texture with high interest. I agree that textures are relevant from a botanical level and the technical part of my photographic mind tells me that they should be there. However I didnt miss them in your initial picture from an artistic perspective: I personally liked the blank white.
Best regards, Adrian |

Mark, very nice shot. As a Swiss I am well aware how difficult it is to get a beautiful snowy mountain scenery in a good black and white picture.
I played a bit around with it in LR but after some minutes realized that I couldnt come up with anything to improve :-)
Best regards, Adrian |

Emil
A very, very beautful photo: I love it.
There is not much I can add to the other comments apart from the fact, that I probably would go for a lower dynamic (as Emil and Israel did) because then the raindrops get more attention. But this is obviously a question of personal taste.
Thanks and best regards, Adrian |

Dear Mandy
What a beautiful moment you caught - great shot.
If I wanted to improve something, then I would put a mask on the zebras in Lightroom, invert it and darken the background. I dont own an XPAN but love the panorama format and would use it here.
your thoughts?
Best, Adrian |

Hi Pete
Great homage to a beautiful building. Personally I like the too strong whites on the dome which give it an almost supernational look.
Great shot of a well-known building!
Best regards, Adrian |

Dear Emil
I often preach to others to focus on one topic only and realize that I didnt stick to my own advice here because I couldnt resist the temptation of the seagull. I like your version substantially better. Since interacting with you I have learned to use and appreciate the radial gradient :-)
