Hi Pete, I like your version a lot: it conveys the business of the whole hall as well as its beautiful features better than my version. This comes however at the cost of a focused centre. As you say: different pictures, each whith his pros and cons. many thanks. |

Hi Emil - I will definitely do further tests and share the outcomes, if they seem of general interest. |

Hi Israel
Exactly - the person getting photographed (who does the V- sign) and the dark person left of the middle (who seems to read) and the dark person right of the middle (who seems to take a photograph) are not moving and therefore not blurred.
many thanks - Adrian |

Hi Israel
A brilliant shot and as Mark I like the depth of field, skin tone and texture.
Processing-wise I liked Emil's changes a lot. Whilst I capture your idea, that the person walks into the picture, I nevertheless wondered if it would benefit from a slight crop on the right side and the top, but maybe its now too dense? |

Hi Chris - I share your restrictions and the solution :-)
I love how you captured the flower and how you mastered the depth of field, so that one sees the details as well as the context. Congratulations.
Maybe also the square format would work? |

This is a great image, I in particularly liked the shape of the sun in the alley.
I am travelling without access to LR, but I would probably try to darken the sky above the building and /or turn down the blue channel, so that the clouds and the sky have a better contrast. It is little bit too bright for my personal taste.

what a lovely and peaceful picture - congratulations!
One thought: Whilst I normally like contrast, it is almost a bit too much and maybe a bit less dynamic would make it even more peaceful? |

Pete: I am acting as judge in the labor court and regularly see the body posture of witnesses, when they are sworn in. You have captured this perfectly. |

Many thanks Emil for the explanations on IBIS (and yes I have 65 mm lens, which corresponds to the 50 mm in the 35 mm film era).
Let me rephrase my question: I would have assumed that a person walking with constant speed would result in sort of a cloud. I was (and still am) confused to see legs in these clouds (see eg. at the left border below the center in the Central Station picture or in the middle at the lower border in WTC picture). I wondered if this is a particularity of digital photography and would have looked differently on film?
Tks and br, A |
