Hello Charles -
Thank you. I agree that more tree trunk would have improved the natural frame; however, the trunk on the right was pretty thin, and I was trying to balance the framing. I think there's a very good AI fill option in Photoshop, but I haven't dipped my toe into that pool yet. |

Hello Stu -
A playful image, loaded with bright colors and set off against a nicely blurred, equally colorful background that does not compete with the subject; but rather, adds to it. There are some color artifacts between the subject and background, which, I think, can be corrected through masking, though I don't know how to do that yet. |

Hi Keith - I wouldn't have thought of a pumpjack as a subject, but I like the image. Besides, as you mentioned, it's a common item on the landscape. It deserves recognition. There is a somewhat stark feeling to the image which is nicely softened by the clouds and blue sky. Suggestions that might improve it would be to level it, as has already been suggested, and to crop out the dead tree on the left to balance the right and left space on either side of the jack. |

Hi Micheal - What a surreal, gorgeous image -- the brilliant colors, the subject matter, and extreme vignetting that brings the eye to the center and keeps it there. Congratulations on a fine catch. |

Hello Sharlana - I certainly like the moodiness of the image, with the low clouds and soft lights nicely reflected in the water. I would have liked to have seen the entire building on the right in the frame. As it is, being cut off is a bit distracting. Perhaps cropping the image to leave that additional building out altogether might keep the focus on what should be the focal center: that lovely old castle under a brooding sky.

Hello Charles -
This is quite an eye catcher. Only two colors, orange and black, make it very distinctive. It still would have been dramatic if there were more colors; however, I think that the simplicity forces makes the image. The different textures in the black objects, from smooth to detailed to rough, helps the lilies stand out. Beautiful. |
