Michael,
Costa Rica is rich in flora and bird species. You photographed a great story of a conversation between these two Monteverde Hummingbirds. I was fortunate to visit a Hummingbird sanctuary in Jamaica earlier in the year. Yes, simple sugar water is what they crave. Great technique |

Marilyn,
Early this year a group of us visited Wings and Talons in Itasca, IL. It was a wonderful experience to get that close to multiple raptors. Your image of the Red Tail Hawk is impactful. The eye tells the story of the intense focus of this species. Conservation groups have the raptors tethered and that plays havoc in trying to show the animal in the wild. |

Leslie,
The Mergansers are in unison getting a little sunshine. The reflection in the water helps the topic. |

Mike,
I'm a fan of the large birds like the Mute Swans in flight. Their takeoffs and landings are like the choreography of a ballet both in sound and order. Each Swan's wing position is different. |

Hi Veysi,
Your image of the Pied Kingfisher is most difficult to capture. And, since you shot both Kingfishers in flight is remarkable. The fact that the flight path was close to the water allowed for the complimentary reflection of the four subjects. |

Jim,
The Cowbird's image is very sharp and the bokeh is complimentary to isolate the subject. The color is spot on and I like the sun bathing the Cowbird nicely. |

Tom,
Thank you for the bird-in-flight image and information about the Frigate bird. The selected aperture captures the entire subject. The crop is well chosen. The catch light gives the impression of looking directly at the camera. |
