I appreciate all of the critiques. Since this bird was very different from other species, I wanted to share the experience. The location was about thirty miles from Addis Ababa. The editing was my choice and perhaps the limitations of the software. Thanks for sharing |

Good and bad judges are subjective according to their experience and preferences. Your image has sharpness and depth. The background adds drama. |

The Capped Heron of Ecuador is very similar to the Black-Crowned Night Heron here in this country.
You were very fortunate to capture this elusive shore bird. The flora obscures parts of the legs and tail, but it's still a nice image. |

Your presentation of the Greylags has depth and is impactful. A fine example of covetousness. |

A nice sharp image with the background framing the song birds. This trio are travel buddies. |

I agree that the image is tack sharp. I have never seen one in person either. A beautiful specimen of a song bird. |

Beautiful composition with the striking eye, legs, and feather colors. The ripple in the water gives life to the image. |

Hi Tom,
No, I don't mind at all, but always invite your suggestive edits. I wanted to do the same edit, but couldn't unlock the expand crop feature that is available with ON1 Raw software. Perhaps I need an update. Thanks for the comments |
