21 Aug 25 Comment I appreciate all of the critiques. Since this bird was very different from other species, I wanted to share the experience. The location was about thirty miles from Addis Ababa. The editing was my choice and perhaps the limitations of the software. Thanks for sharing Aug 21st
21 Aug 25 Comment Good and bad judges are subjective according to their experience and preferences. Your image has sharpness and depth. The background adds drama. Aug 11th

The Capped Heron of Ecuador is very similar to the Black-Crowned Night Heron here in this country.

You were very fortunate to capture this elusive shore bird. The flora obscures parts of the legs and tail, but it's still a nice image.

Your presentation of the Greylags has depth and is impactful. A fine example of covetousness.

21 Aug 25 Comment A nice sharp image with the background framing the song birds. This trio are travel buddies. Aug 11th
21 Aug 25 Comment I agree that the image is tack sharp. I have never seen one in person either. A beautiful specimen of a song bird. Aug 11th
21 Aug 25 Comment Beautiful composition with the striking eye, legs, and feather colors. The ripple in the water gives life to the image. Aug 11th
21 Aug 25 Comment Hi Tom,

No, I don't mind at all, but always invite your suggestive edits. I wanted to do the same edit, but couldn't unlock the expand crop feature that is available with ON1 Raw software. Perhaps I need an update. Thanks for the comments
